Please join us for a special APOTECA 'Champagne Session', hosted by Sara Underdown, to celebrate the start of truffle season paired with a specially curated selection of champagnes.

Champagne shares the conundrum of truffle's finer points – many are layered with complexity, yet fundamentally delicate both in taste and texture. Choose a style wisely by sticking to some golden rules. Pinot noir, with its structure and body, works well as a compliment to truffles, so choose one with a high percentage of this grape variety.

Blanc de noirs champagnes are particularly flattering with truffles. With their earthy and red fruit undertones, they can enhance the fragrance of truffles. And their vibrant acidity, blanc de noirs can cut through the richness of truffle-based dishes, creating a balance of flavour and texture.
